Memories…they last a lifetime
No memories are as poignant as the ones made in childhood. Subconsciously, it is experiences of swimming, Duck Duck Goose, BFF’s, playground politics and “firsts” that shape the beliefs and outcomes of a person’s life as they become an adult. Summer Camp and other places like OLQP have a role in creating those very memories that promote love, confidence, talent development and an adventurous spirit.
For those of us that want to make a difference in a person’s life, to impact it in a positive and enriching way, there is nothing better than being a part of a child’s camp experience. At camp, children are given an opportunity to express themselves freely without judgment as we encourage involvement in various activities that stimulate the mind and the physical body. We encourage cooperation and communication as well as teach social skills that have been halted by online social networking. We genuinely love and care for each of our campers celebrating their individualism with pats on the back and encouragement.
Camp is much more than just singing around the campfire; it’s about empowering and enriching lives including your own.
