Summer Weekend Family Camp

A FREE WEEKEND FAMILY CAMP EXPERIENCE FOR KIDS 0-100 THAT ARE LIVING IN POVERTY.

We all know that the stresses of day-to-day living for many families with financial challenges can be daunting, even having the potential to create some real negative effects on the family core. This program was generated for these families in mind.

Our Lady Queen of Peace Ranch (Southern Alberta) Ltd. strongly believes the family that plays together stays together. That is why with this special program we provide program facilitators that will schedule and run a multitude of activities throughout the weekend for the families to be involved in. Whether it be an all ages kickball game, group crafts or our early evening group campfire this program encourages the parents to leave their stresses at home and rekindle their own youth with their children. This can be a weekend of growth, reconnection, healing or simply fun, Our Lady Queen of Peace Ranch (Southern Alberta) Ltd. gives the families the tools the families simply utilize them.

Just as the children need to be referred to the Ranch by an Agency so to the families.  Any Agency working with children and families living in poverty can reserve a maximum of 10 teepees to house their families in need.  Although the intent is to just have one family per tent, we leave the decision up to the Agency to combine smaller families if they wish to have this opportunity open to more than just ten families from the Agency.   

Provided for your Families

The Ranch provides not only the facilitators, activities and the beautiful environment, but also provides sleeping bags, liners, thick sleeping pads and plush towels for everyone in attendance. As well the families will enjoy 3 home-style meals, snacks and special treats of ice cream and slushies. All this is provided by Our Lady Queen of Peace Ranch (Southern Alberta) Ltd. at NO COST to the Agencies or families.
