Annual Children’s Christmas Party

Provides a FREE memorable Christmas experience for financially needy children and their families in the Central Alberta Region. We find this a unique way to provide families in need something above and beyond the basic necessities often provided by other charitable organizations. Just like all our Programs we take families and children through direct referrals from our Approved Agencies.
Benefits to the community and participants include:
- Breaking the poverty cycle
- Increased Quality of Life for Individuals and Families
- Connecting needy families to Community Resources
- Providing some basic needs to families
Participants come out to the Ranch for one day on buses provided by OLQP.
The children are presented with:
- an individualized and requested Christmas Present with up to a $50.00 retail value.
- a new winter hat and gloves
- a visit with Santa + treat bag
- Ride on a Horse
- Hay Wagon ride/Horse-drawn Carriage ride
- Visit at the petting zoo
- Arts & Crafts in the Activity Tent
- A new or gently loved stuffed animal
- Lunch & Goodies (i.e. chili, hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn, ice cream, slurpies)
Families are welcome to visit Gab's Place full of new and gently used clothing and housewares FREE for the families to take.
